Hurricane Katrina devastated many artists and destroyed tremendously valuable works of art here in New Orleans and the Coastal South. Many of us were forced to flee elsewhere as we evacuated from the city we so loved and the deep connection and bonds we had formed with this great region. So many remarkable pieces of art were left behind, scattered like us by the devastating effects of the hurricane. Among these and other missing pieces, two large, significant oils were swept away in the 35' tidal surge that decimated coastal Mississippi. Any news of the art's location would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for visiting and appreciating what was lost.
